Working in the field as a journalist can be hard but something about 2020 has created new challenges. SDABJ wants to try to help navigate some of the waters by hosting a panel discussion on the best ways to stay safe out in the field. San Diego Fire Batallion Chief Rob Logan, San Diego police Sergeant Matthew Botkin will join NBC 7 photojournalist Elroy Spatcher and NBC 7 multimedia journalist Lauren Coronado in a discussion about best practices for field crews during wildfires, social unrest and other difficulties we encounter while doing our job. The panel will be on Wednesday, October 14th starting at 7:00pm PT. Register today for the free event here
